In the New York Daily Time Article “Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration law, SB 1070, comes with how-to enforcement video for police” the author Sean Alfano explains how a video and a handout is given to the police enforcement in order to train the officers to act under “reasonable suspicion”. For instance, if someone is stopped in a stop sign and the officer asks them where they live and they do not know then they will suspect the person is an illegal immigrant. The SB 1070 is using these resources to discontinue that “myth” that the Law will force officers to racially profile an individual. The video also teacher the police officers to learn how to verify someone’s ID. Another tactic also learned by police officers is to drive around the places the illegal immigrants usually are looking for work.
