In the article “The Trouble with Racial Profiling”, Raina Kelley explains how the Arizona Law will encourage racial profiling and increase Arizona’s Deficit. The law will require the police to take courses that will help them determine what reasonable suspicion is. According to the USA today the program will cost about $100 million. One of the reasons why the law came about was to protect the neighborhoods of Arizona by reducing crime and drug trafficking. Kelley explicitly says that the drug dealers would know who the Police is after and use other “certain groups”. In the end Raina Kelley adds to the point where illegal immigrants are low paid workers and thus add to our economy.
